Artist Bio & Statement
Sharon Wensel was born in Phoenixville, Pennsylvania and currently lives in Skippack Pennsylvania. She has two amazing sons, one in Pennsylvania and one in Texas, both chefs. She studied advertising and design at Hussian School of Art before transferring to the Pennsylvania Academy of the fine Arts to study painting. Sharon put aside her career as an artist for a several years after she became a mother to focus on her family. In 2013 her husband passed away from ALS and she signed up for classes at Montgomery County Community College. Her love of art was reignited. In January 2022, she left her full time position as an office assistant to pursue her dream to work as a full-time artist. She currently is a member of the Philadelphia Sketch Club, In Liquid and Art Queens. She enjoys hosting open studio events, inviting her much cherished collectors.
