“I am always very much aware of my surroundings. The landscape does not reveal itself to me as a photographic entity, but as a series of colors, shapes, and a sense of mystery. A rock, a wall, a building, a path- all hold a story for me.
Noting is a truly solid shape- each piece seems to vibrate. Perhaps a color almost completely expresses the meaning I am looking for or a mix of layers of paint is needed instead. I try to draw and paint with few details and reduce these phenomenal works of nature to their essence. A few strokes with a paintbrush, a moving around of paint, and suddenly I feel a sense of excitement and relief when the flow of the paint comes together on the canvas.
My search will continue with each discovers and will bring solutions and answers to more questions as my work is in constant process.”
