in 1970 with Biagio Pinto at The Main Line Center for The Arts in Haverford, PA. He awakened in her a fascination with the painting process and instilled in her the courage to explore.

“My oil/mixed media paintings, inspired by nature and travel, reflect my involvement with the process of making art. I am not concerned with rendering what I see, but am challenged to express my reaction to what I see.”
For many years, the rural landscape of northern Pennsylvania has nurtured and inspired her. She likes to work in series: a process that offers challenges and freedom to
explore. Past series have included “Vespa Memories”, “Haybales” and “Exploring the Circle”.
Travel to Asia has left an imprint on her work: its rich color, intricate patterns and flying prayer flags can be found in recent paintings and encaustics. However, throughout my painting journey, color has endured as a constant and motivating voice. To quote the artist Hans Hoffman, “Our entire being is nourished by color.”
